Firebrick Installation:
Install rebrick every 3-4 courses during the assembly of the replace or install the
rebrick once the replace has been completed. Firebrick should be veneered to the
interior of the replace, extending to the top of the replace ue, by applying ONLY
refractory mortar to the back and joint sides of the bricks. Adhere the rebrick to the
wall and remove excess mortar with a trowel. Mortar joints should be between 1/8” and
3/8” thick.
Be sure to use extra mortar to adhere rebrick to steel and blocks where steel sits. Do
not leave steel uncovered as it may compromise the structural integrity of the replace.
