Firebrick Installation:
Install rebrick every 3-4 courses during the assembly of the replace or install the
rebrick once the replace has been completed. Firebrick should be veneered to the
interior of the replace, extending to the top of the replace ue, by applying ONLY
refractory mortar to the back and joint sides of the bricks. Adhere the rebrick to the
wall and remove excess mortar with a trowel. Mortar joints should be between 1/8” and
3/8” thick.
Be sure to use extra mortar to adhere rebrick to steel and blocks where steel sits. Do
not leave steel uncovered as it may compromise the structural integrity of the replace.
