Step 4
Attaching the Pickets
Measure to assure that the top and bottom rails are spaced the same distance apart
on both ends. Space the pickets evenly over the top of the gate structure. Measure
that the pickets are the proper distance above the top rail. Using 1 3/4” screws attach
pickets to the backer rails, 2 screws into each picket where it intersects each
backer rail.
Step 5
Installing Gate between the posts
CAUTION: Due to weight, we recommend that you find assistance for this step
Flip the gate over and attach the Tee hinges to the top and bottom rails per the
manufacturers instructions. Lift the gate into position and brace so there is at least
1” of clearance under the gate. Fasten the top and bottom hinges to the side of the
post sleeve making sure the gate is horizontally plumb and level. Install the gate latch
per the manufacturers instructions .
