FAILURE INDICATIONS
“NULL” for battery defect
When defective batteries or low voltage batteries (under
0.9V) are being inserted in the charger, “NULL” will be
displayed. The charging process will not start.
However, it is normal that “NULL” is displayed as long as
no battery has been placed in a compartment while the
charger is powered on.
HINT : a slow overnight charger could be used to increase the voltage
of old (not defective) cells. The RX 1 Smart could then be able to
recharge or refresh the battery.
OVERHEATING of batteries or charger
When overheating occurs and the battery exceeds
55°C-131°F or the charger exceeds 70°C (158°F),
the charging or discharging process will be interrupted
immediately. The display shows “000mA”.
The process will resume only when the battery’s
temperature drops to a safe level below 40°C-104°F
and the charger below 50°C-122°F.
Repeated overheating of a battery is usually due to excessive charging
or discharging current. The battery should be taken out of the charger
to cool down and the process restarted at the lowest possible charging
current.
USB OUTPUT POWER SUPPLY
The RX 1 Smart charger is equipped with a USB port 5V - 1A
to charge and/or power small digital devices (smartphone, MP3,
portable games, …). This feature cannot be enabled until the
charger is connected to the mains (100V-240V). USB cables and
accessories are not supplied.
Environmental recommendations
Regarding used batteries
The consumer should return used batteries to the dealer’s shop or
to the collecting boxes for recycling of batteries placed in stores or
collecting points.
Regarding “waste electrical and electronic equipment” (WEEE)
•
The equipment that you bought has required the extraction and use of
natural resources for its production.
