REFRESH
Old NiMH rechargeable batteries that lose their power quickly or
batteries stored unused for a long period including newly purchased
batteries, can be reactivated in the REFRESH mode. This mode will
apply cycles of discharge-charge-discharge until no further increase of
the batteries’ capacity is monitored.
This feature can last for hours and even days depending on the selected
discharging current and the actual capacity of the batteries.
Use the DISPLAY key to view the following.
STAGE 1 :
DISCHARGE
The max. discharge
current of 500mA
has been selected
by the user.
STAGE 2 :
CHARGE
A charge current of
2 X the discharge
current is applied,
i.e. 1000mA.
STAGE 3 :
REFRESH IS
FINISHED/TRICKLE
CHARGE
The display shows
FULL at the end of
the charging process.
With the DISPLAY
key, the applied
current during trickle
charge is shown. In
this example 60mA.
