• Slowlyloosenthecapbutdonot
unscrewit.Allowtheremaining
steamtoescapeviathecap.Allow
the appliance to cool for around 5
minutes.Oncethereisnolongerany
steam escaping from the cap, and
no steam is emitted when the steam
button is pressed, the cap can be
removed completely.
• Fillwithmorewaterorpourout
the remaining water, depending
onwhetheryouwishtorellthe
appliance or put it away.
DESCALING
Lime scales can form on and in the
appliance in hard water areas, which
can affect its performance.
• Descalingthewatertank:
Pour1-2tbs.ofhouseholdvinegar
into the tank when full, screw the
cap on and shake.
IMPORTANT!Donotswitchonthe
appliance.
Leave the vinegar solution in the
tank for a couple of hours. Rinse out
with clean water.
• Removinglimescalefromthesteam
outlet:
Usealong,thinmetalobject(e.g.
a needle) to remove the scale
deposits, and ensure no residue is
left.
–OR–
Prepareasolutionof1/3rd
householdvinegarand2/3rdswater,
and pour it into the tank.
Switchontheapplianceonand
steamuntilvinegar/watersolutionis
used up.
Repeat the above procedure until
the lime is gone and normal steam
function is restored.
Fill the tank with clean water, and
steam until the tank is empty.
• Removinglimescalefrom
accessories:
We recommend applying a little
spraylubricantWD-40totheends
of the appliances.
Fill the tank with water and use the
appliancewiththeaccessorytted
for several minutes to remove lime
scale.
Check that the lubricant and all
lime scale deposits are gone before
using the appliance again.
CLEANING
When cleaning the appliance, you
shouldpayattentiontothefollowing:
• Removetheplugfromthemains
socket, and allow the appliance
to cool down completely before
cleaning it.
• Neversubmergetheappliance
in water and make sure no water
enters the appliance.
• Cleantheappliancebywipingitwith
adampcloth.Alittledetergentcan
be added if the appliance is heavily
soiled.
• Donotusescouringpads,steel
wool or any form of strong solvents
or abrasive cleaning agents to
clean the appliance, as they can
damagetheexternalsurfacesofthe
appliance.
• IMPORTANT!Allowtodry
completelyaftercleaning.Donot
use the appliance if it is damp.
• Alwayscleantheappliancebefore
putting it away if it is not to be used
for a prolonged period.
