Using your Answering Machine
9. Using your Answering Machine
The phone can digitally record up to 12 minutes of messages. As well as
recording incoming messages, it can record memos for other users.
The answering machine can be operated from:
• the base
• the handset
• remotely, from any other DTMF telephone, see page 35.
9.1 Switch the answering machine on / o
Via the base
1. Press o on the base to turn the answering machine on or o.
When the answering machine is on, the LED will be on.
Via the handset
Press
M, scroll i or d to

and press M.

and press M.

9.2 Listening to your messages
Using the base:
1. If there are new messages, press l and only they will be played.
Press and hold l to play all messages.
2. If there are no new messages, press l all messages will be played.
During playback:
Press
l
to stop message playback.
Press
p
to play the next message.
Press
p
to play the previous message.
Press
e
to delete the current message.
Note
When in standby press and hold e for 2 seconds to delete all old messages.
Using the handset:
1. If there is a new message press
M and the new message will be played.
2. If there is no new message press
M, scroll d to
Answ. Machine
and press M.

Play
is displayed, press M.
4. The display shows the number of the message being played and the date
and time the message was left will toggle on the screen.
5. During playback press
M to display a list of options.
6. Use the
i or d to change the options.
