write-protection
feature
on

diskette
should be enabled

floppy
disk
drives
in use recognizes a
write-protected
diskette.

user

reminded

covering
the
notch
wiLL
write-protect
5.25-inch
diskettes,
whiLe
exposing
the
notch
wiLL
write-
protect
8-inch
diskettes.)

diskettes.
This

Two
sets
of
copies
of
the
Distribution
Diskettes
shouLd
be
made
on
diskettes
formatted
using
the
QCERT.COM
utility.
To
make
the
copies
of
the
Distribution
Diskettes,
insert
each
diskette
in
drive
A,
and follow
the
example shown
below.

This procedure must

performed once

copy

the
Distribution
Diskettes.
When
compLeted, two
sets
of
copies
of
the
Distribution
Diskettes
should have been made, complete

the
CPIM
operating
system.

Master
Distribution
Diskettes
shouLd
now
be
stored
in
a
safe
place.
The
remaining two
sets
of
diskettes
shouLd
be
labeled
the
same
as
the
distribution
copies,
with one
set
labeLed
''Work
Copy"
and
the
other
'Back
Up
Copy".
The
"Work"
copies
of
the
diskettes
wi
LL
be
used during
the
instalLation
of
the
operating
system.
Some
of
the
fiLes
on
these
disks
will
be
modified
by
the
InstaLlation
procedure.
The
"Back-up" copies
are
intended as
additional
security
against
accidentaL
loss
of
data.
