Square
Wave
bolus
Square Wave bolus
delivers a single bolus
evenly over an extended
period of time from
30 minutes up to
8 hours.
You might use a Square Wave bolus for the
following reasons:
You have delayed food digestion due to
gastroparesis or meals high in fat.
When you snack over an extended period
of time.
A Normal bolus drops your BG too rapidly.

Dual Wave
bolus
Dual Wave bolus delivers
a combination of an
immediate Normal bolus
followed by a Square
Wave bolus.
You might use a Dual Wave bolus for the
following reasons:
When you eat meals that are both high in
carbs and fat which may delay digestion.
When your meal bolus is combined with a
correction bolus for an elevated BG.
