Systems use the Maxi-Flo
®
catheter,
which is calibrated to assist in proper placement.
The soft catheter combines the beveled tip to reduce tra-
cheal and carinal trauma. Each Maxi-Flo
®
catheter has a
large inner diameter for maximum suction efficiency.
Dual Swivel Elbow
An angled patient elbow combined with a dual axis
swivel provides torque relief at both the circuit and
airway connection (15 mm OD swivel connector at
the circuit and 15 mm ID swivel connector at the air-
way).
Soft, Flexible Sleeve
A sleeve encloses the catheter to reduce
contamination to both health care
personnel and patient.
Wiper Seal
An efficient wiper seal maintains PEEP
and cleans secretions from the catheter.
Single-Step Thumb Valve
The thumb valve allows simple on/off manipulation of
the suction source. Raised edges prevent the valve
from being inadvertently activated.
Flexibility without Compromise
Steri-Cath
®
unibody systems reduce the risk of contamina-
tion by eliminating clinician contact with the catheter. It
also maintains a closed airway to reduce aerosolization of
secretions and oxygen desaturation while allowing con-
stant patient ventilation. These systems are cost-effective
and convenient to use.
