The use of the Shiatsu massage cushion SMC will improve your wellbeing after
a stressful day. The massage effect is particularly useful for treating tense
muscles and tired tissue. The unit provides pleasant relaxation for overcoming
everyday stress. The massaging can improve your well-being, and is also useful
in the sport and fitness areas.
Start-up
The SMC shiatsu massage cushion has two functions for effective treatment:
fingertip massage and heat. The heat function can only be used in combination
with the shiatsu massage.
• Place the shiatsu massage cushion

on the back of a high-backed chair and
fasten it to the back with the strap.
• Insert plug into the mains socket. Ensure that the power supply is easily
accessible.
• Sit on the chair and check that the cushion is in the position you want.
• Use the buttons on the control unit

to operate the massage cushion.
Do not use the unit for more than 15 minutes at a time. After approx. 15 minu-
tes, the unit will switch off automatically. Always allow the unit to cool down
fully before you use it again.
Switching on and operating the unit
• Switch on the device by pressing Power button

. The blue power LED
illuminates.
• Press the Forward button

to activate the massage function with outward
rotation. The blue Forward LED lights up. To change the direction of rotation,
press the Reverse button

. The Forward LED goes out and the Reverse LED
lights up blue. To switch off the massage function, press the button you last
pressed (

) again.

Press the Reverse button

to activate the massage function with inward
rotation. The blue Reverse LED lights up. To change the direction of rotation,
press the Forward button

. The Reverse LED goes out and the Forward LED
lights up blue. To switch off the massage function, press the button you last

• The heat function can be activated at any time with the shiatsu massage.
Press the Heat button

to activate the function; the red LED lights up. The
heat is radiated through the massage heads

. Press the Heat button

again to deactivate the heat function; the red LED goes out.
To switch off the device
• Press the Power button

. The blue power LED goes out.
• After each use, switch the device off using the Power button

and remove
the plug from the mains socket.
