7.7.1. Features of the special keys
The correct function of the special keys will depend on several factors:
Operating system/configuration
The special keys call up particular functions of the operating system. These func-
tions are not standardised, so activation in Windows
®
, for example, will deliver a dif-
ferent result than in other operating systems. This is particularly noticeable in the
case of the function keys.
For instance, in some operating systems/configurations, the control keys only work
if a media player is running; in other operating systems, they only work if it is not
started.
