10. The Hard Drives
The hard drive is your main memory medium and combines high storage capacity
with rapid data access. The base unit includes an HDD; the tablet unit is equipped
with a 64 GB eMMC hard drive.

operating system which supports all of the Notebook’s performance features. We
have configured your Notebook’s hard drive so that you will be able to work with it
optimally without having to install any additional drivers yourself. The Windows
®
8
operating system requires part of the capacity to manage the hard drive therefore
the hard drive’s full capacity is not available. This explains any differences between
the UEFI firmware configuration and the operating system display. The Notebook’s
operating system, other applications and security data are located on the hard drive
meaning that the full capacity is already reduced.
There are also drivers and utility programs for your notebook saved on the hard
disks.
CAUTION!
To avoid data loss, close all open documents/media files that
are on the hard drive of the base unit before disconnecting the
display from the device.
CAUTION!
The startup files for system restoration and the Windows
®
8
installation files are located in non rewritable partitions. These
partitions cannot be deleted.
