7.3.2. Behaviour of the battery charge status display
If the device is being operated in notebook mode, the charging status of both
batteries will be shown and not two separate indicators.
If, for example, the battery in the base unit is empty but the battery in the tablet
unit is full, a charging status of 50% will be shown.
If the device is being used in tablet mode, i.e. without the base unit, a charging
status of 100% is shown.
PLEASE NOTE!
The battery in the tablet unit will always be charged first.
The battery in the base unit is then also charged when the display unit is
removed and the mains adapter connected to the base unit. If the mains
adapter is not connected, the battery in the tablet unit will charged
from the battery in the base unit. This ensure that the tablet mode is
optimised.
7.3.3. Discharging the battery
Operate the notebook on battery power until it turns itself off due to low battery
charge.
PLEASE NOTE!
Be sure to save your open files promptly to prevent any data loss.
7.3.4. Battery Performance
The actual operating time varies depending on the configuration of the power
saving functions. You can configure these to suit your requirements in the Control
Panel under System and Security, Power Options. Note: your Notebook
consumes more power when running certain applications.
7.3.5. Checking the Battery Charge
To check the current battery charge status, move the cursor over the power icon in
the task bar. In battery mode, the icon is displayed as a battery.
You can obtain more information about settings by double clicking the icon.
