Installation as a client
Use the client mode to use the WiFi Range Extender as a
wireless adaptor. This allows you to register devices that
only have a LAN port (e.g. set-top boxes, printers...) to
the network via wireless.
WiFi Range Extender basic settings in client mode
• Before the WiFi Range Extender is configured via the
web interface, DHCP for wireless and LAN is activated.
• After the WiFi Range Extender has been set up via the
Quick Setup menu and connected to the home router,
the WiFi Range Extender restarts.
• After the restart, DHCP for LAN and wireless is
deactivated on the WiFi Range Extender. The WiFi
Range Extender now receives IP addresses from the
router.
Connecting as a client to a wireless AP (Wireless
router) using the WPS button
The quickest, easiest and most secure way of establishing
a wireless connection between the repeater (in client
mode) and the wireless router is by using the WPS
button.
PLEASE NOTE!
This connection method presupposes that both
devices have a WPS button or WPS function in
their menu.
