The F1 to F12 keys located in the top row of the keyboard are known as the function
keys.
The functions assigned to these keys will differ depending on the software.
Information on function key assignments may be found in the user manual for the re-
spective software program. F1 is generally used to call up the Help.
The left Windows key (with the Windows flag) opens the Windows Start
menu.
TIPS
Press this button simultaneously with the E button. This will start Windows Explorer;
pressing together with the Pause button will start the Device Manager.
Pressing the application key is equivalent to right-clicking and, under Win-
dows®, will open the desktop context menu, for example.
