USING SCENE MODES

The camera comes with five scene modes that set the cam-

era for specific shooting situations. Use the "

" button to

select a scene mode.

Mode Function

Aperture Value

Used for manually setting the aperture (cam-

era automatically sets the shutter time). Use

 on the four-way key to adjust the ap-

erture value while in this mode. Equivalent

to “Aperture Priority”.

Time Value

Used for manually setting the shutter time

(camera automatically sets the aperture

value). Use  on the four-way key to ad-

just the time value while in this mode.

Equivalent to “Shutter Priority”.

Sports

Used for capturing subjects in motion.

Macro

Used for shooting close-ups.

Portrait

Used for shooting portraits.

Landscape

Used for shooting landscapes.

Night

Used when photographing at night or in low

light conditions.

Â Note: The flash will not operate in macro or land-

scape mode.
