MECHA User’s Guide v.05.4 ! Dual Axis
© 2020 FANOTEC
Out of the box, MECHA works in AP mode. Since it does not have a wire-
less modem, it does not have Internet access. A device connected to it
may also lose Internet access. Please, refer to
MECHA Controller C1
Manual
on STA mode for more details.
To execute a preset to the right/le', select the preset, tap [Load] bu"on to
load the preset, then tap [RIGHT]/[LEFT] bu"on. For the moment, we do not
want to execute the preset, but to create a new preset.
We take a look at preset descrip!ons above, and select the preset most
similar to what we want to get. Suppose we want 6 shots around, 1 row,
plus zenith and nadir, star!ng from parked posi!on. The most appropriate
template seems to be DAC TEST 1312 Parked.
To %nd out more about a preset, you can choose a higher level for the UI
complexity from the drop down list next to [info] bu"on, at the top of the
page. Select A3, which is the most advanced level.
Now, we have the full descrip!on of the selected preset and, in addi!on,
clicking the [info] bu"on will toggle descrip!ons for all the controls:
• 12 Shots - 12 shots around for a full 360° panorama. No!ce how the
rota!on angle changes according to the number of photos, so that if we
mul!ply them, the result is 360°. On the other hand, if we change the
rota!on angle, the number of images does not change.
• 1 IMG - This is the number of *bracketed+ images for each posi!on.
When using automa!c exposure bracke!ng in con!nuous shoo!ng or
self-!mer mode, MECHA treats it as 1 image. In other words, this is how
many !mes the camera will be triggered by MECHA. Select 0 if no image
is needed.
