Plotting a Graph and Drawing the Straight Line
Figure F–1 shows a manually-plotted line used to determine the
slope (b) and Y–intercept (a) values.

From the Graph:
Slope: b = ΔY / ΔX = –0.725 / 2 = –0.3625
ΔY / ΔX means the change (delta) in Y divided by the change
in X.
Y-Intercept: a = 0.825
