If  you  have  a  question  concerning  your  LS-6 
telescope,  call  the  Meade  Instruments  Customer 
Service  Department  at  (800)  626-3233.  Customer 
Service hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Pacic Time, 
Monday  through  Friday.  In  the  unlikely  event  that 
the  LS-6  requires  factory  servicing  or  repairs,  before 
returning the telescope to  the factory, write or call 
the  Meade  Customer  Service  Department  to  provide 
an  explanation  of  the  problem,  as  well  as  your 
name,  address  and  daytime  telephone  number.  The 
great majority  of  servicing  issues  can  be  resolved 
by  telephone,  avoiding  return  of  the  telescope  to  
the factory.

LS-6  Mini  SD  Card  for  Updates  and  
Image Storage
Your LS-6 telescope comes with a “Mini SD Card” slot 
located in the front edge of the fork arm. With a user 
supplied “Mini SD Card”, or a “Micro SD Card” in a Mini 
Card Adapter, you can update your telescope rmware 
or save images made with the ECLIPS CCD. 
Only use SD Cards bearing the ofcial SD logo. Each 
card must be properly formatted, using a PC utility or 
AutoStar Suite, before use in the LS-6. The card must 
be formatted with the FAT32 File System.
Your LS-6 will not power-up with an SD Card inserted 
in its slot unless you are updating the rmware from the 
card. This includes an SD Card used to store images 
from  the  ECLIPS  camera.  To  ensure  the  application 
software boots normally, remove the SD Card before 
switching on the LS-6 LightSwitch. If you observe that 
the  LS-6  is  taking  a  long  time  to  power-up,  please 
ensure the  Mini SD Card slot is  empty and cycle the 
LS-6 LightSwitch off and on.
