Revolver is a convolution reverb with lots of great features: It has dedicated
and routable EQ, two stereo delay lines, a reverb decay crossover network,
and specialized stereo imaging control, and it comes with over 300 impulse
responses including typical acoustic spaces, rooms and halls, reverb plates,
spring reverbs, and so forth. Even more are available to download from
the McDSP website, and if you really want to roll your own, a set of tools is
provided to help you to create impulse responses.
To the left of the meters, the Comp/Limiter section has Threshold, Attack,
Release, makeup-gain, and Knee controls. Using the buttons to the left of these
controls, the Compressor/Limiter can be con gured to key from the original input
(un ltered), or from the side-chain input, or from the output of the two  lters.
Below the Comp/Limiter section you will find the high-pass (low-cut) and
low-pass (high-cut)  lters. Each  lter has a rotary frequency control, a pair of
selector buttons that let you select 12 dB/octave or 24/dB/octave  lter slopes,
and a small button to switch the  lter in or out.
Using the Filter Input switches at the left, the  lters can be con gured to take
their input from the original input or from the side chain. By engaging the
Inline button, the two  lters can also be placed inline so their e ect on the
signal is heard at the output.
