Event Code Tables
Event Code: 583
Message: Loss of signal or loss of synchronization.
Severity: Major.
Explanation: An attached OSI or FICON server recognized a loss-of-signal condition or a loss-of-synchronization condition
that persisted for more than the specified receiver-transmitter timeout value (R_T_TOV).
Action: A LIR is generated and sent to the attached server using the reporting procedure defined in T11/99-017v0 (OSI)
or the FICON architecture document (FICON). If fault isolation at the server does not detect a failure, the problem
may be due to a port failure. See
MAP 0000: Start MAP for instructions.
