Removal and Replacement Procedures (RRPs)
c. Power on the maintenance terminal. Use the following
settings.
Bits per second - 115200.
•Databits-8.
•Parity-None.
•Stopbits-1.
Flow control - Hardware.
When the parameters are set, click OK.TheHyperTerminal
dialog box displays.
d. At the > prompt, type the maintenance-level password (the
default is level-2)andpressEnter.Thepasswordiscase
sensitive. The HyperTerminal dialog box displays with a C>
prompt at the top of the window.
e. Type the command oem nnnnnnnn,wherennnnnnnn is the
original director serial number recorded in step 1 or step 5 of
the removal procedure.
f. Select Exit from the File pull-down menu to close the
HyperTerminal application.
20. Initial machine load (IML) the director. At the front of the
director, press and hold the white IML button on the faceplate of
the active CTP card (green LED illuminated) for three seconds.
21. At the management server Hardware View,observeallFRU
graphics and ensure no alert symbols appear that indicate a
failure(yellow triangleor red diamond).If aproblem is indicated,
go toChapter 3,MaintenanceAnalysisProcedures(MAPS)to isolate
the problem.
22. Perform the data collection procedure (Collecting Maintenance
Data on page 4-32).
23. Perform one of the following to clear the system error (ERR) LED:
If at the management server, open the Hardware View and:
a. Right-click the front panel bezel graphic (away from a
FRU) to open a menu.
b. Click the Clear System Error Light menu selection.
