Repair Information
• Downloading firmware and software versions to the director
from the EFCM Basic Edition Application.
Download Firmware and Software from Filecenter
The firmware version shipped with the director is provided on the
System Version XX.YY.ZZ CD-ROM. The SAN management
application(software)shippedwiththeproductisprovidedonthe
EFC Management Applications CD-ROM. Subsequent (upgrade)
firmware and software versions are provided to customers through
the McDATA Filecenter.
NOTE: When upgrading firmware or software, follow all procedural
information contained in release notes or engineering change (EC)
instructions that accompany the version. Such information supplements
information provided in this general procedure.
Downloadthefirmwareorsoftwareversiontotheharddriveofa
serverwith Internetaccess. Thisserver can be themanagement server
or PC communicating with the EFCM Basic Edition interface. To
download a firmware or software version:
1. AttheserverwithInternetaccess,opentheMcDATAhomepage
(http://mcdata.com).SelectFile Center fromthe Support menu.The
Filecenterhomepageopens(Figure 4-14).

2. Select (click) Login at the top of the page. The Login page displays.
