2. Remove the backup CD from the management servercompact

disk-rewritable (CD-RW) drive and insert a blank rewritable CD.

3. At the Save Data Collection dialog box, select the compact disc

drive (D:\)fromtheLook in drop-down menu, type a descriptive

name for the collected maintenance data in the File name field,

then click Save.

4. The Data Collection dialog box displays with a progress bar that

shows percent completion of the data collection process. When

the process reaches 100%, the Cancel button changes to a Close

Button.

5. Click Close to close the dialog box.

6. Remove the CD with the newly-collected maintenance data from

the management server CD-RW drive. Return the CD with the

failed FRU to support personnel for failure analysis.

7. To ensure the backup application operates normally, replace the

original backup CD in the management server CD-RW drive.

Collecting Maintenance Data (EFCM Basic Edition)

To collect maintenance data from the EFCM Basic Edition application:

1. At the EFCM Basic Edition interface, select System Files from the

Maintenance menu at any view. The System Files View displays

(Figure 4-10).

2. Right-click the Data Collection link to open a list of menu options.

Select the Save Target As menu option. The Save As dialog box

displays.
