7. Operation
c. Intro / Ending
This function allows you to add an introduction or ending to a style. Its length varies with different styles.
To begin a style with an introduction, press [INTRO/ENDING] button before starting the style.1.
To give a style an ending, press [INTRO/ENDING] button while the style is playing. 2.
When this mode is in process. the indicator above “Fill-in A” or “Fill-in B” will fl ash until the mode completes.3.
d. Fill A/B
This function allows you to add a fi ll-in into a style.
Choose and play your desired style.1.
To insert a fi ll-in, press [FILL-IN A] or [FILL-IN B] button. The indicator above the button will stop fl ashing when the fi ll-in 2.
fi nishes playing.
To keep repeating the pattern, press and hold [FILL-IN A] or [FILL-IN B] button.3.
e. Tempo
Press [TEMPO+] or [TEMPO-] button to change the tempo. The tempo ranges from 30 to 280. 1.
Press [TEMPO+] and [TEMPO-] buttons together to reset the tempo value to its default.2.
f. Fade
This Fade function creates a softer sound to begin or end a style.
Fade-in1.
To enable the fade-in function, press [FADE] before starting a style. When the style starts, the fade indicator on the LCD -
will fl ash and the volume will gradually increase to the maximum level within 10 seconds. Then fade indicator will shut
off and the style will play normally.
Fade-out2.
To enable the fade-out function, press [FADE] when a style is being played. The fade indicator on the LCD will fl ash and -
the volume of the style will gradually decrease to the minimum level within 10 seconds. The fade indicator will shut off.
The style will be muted until it is stopped.
To resume to normal playing, press [FADE] again. -
g. Auto Bass Chord (A. B. C.)
A.B.C is OFF by default. Press the [A.B.C.] button to turn on this “auto bass chord” function. Under this mode, the keys below
the split point are known as the CHORD area.
Chord area
Simple chords
You can play simple chords in the chord area with simplifi ed fi ngerings. (See Appendix VI for simple chord table)
Standard chords
You can play standard chords in the chord area with normal fi ngerings. (See Appendix VI for standard chord table)
E) Function Menu
The function menu allows you to adjust the parameters of 11 items.
Press [FUNCTION / BACK] or [FUNCTION / NEXT] button to enter this function menu. 1.
Press [FUNCTION / BACK] or [FUNCTION / NEXT] button repeatedly to select other items.2.
Press [+/YES] / [-/NO] to adjust the parameters for each item. 3.
