Apply a penetrating lubricant liberally to all exhaust fasteners, hangers and rubber insulators. 2 Remove the rubber exhaust from the rubber insulators. Refer to Figure 1. Figure 2 3. Loosen the band clamps on the factory exhaust located in front of the Y-pipe. Refer to Figure 2. 4. Remove the exhaust from the remaining rubber insulators. Refer to Figure 3. Figure 3 5. Remove the exhaust from the vehicle. Refer to Figure 4.
Installation of MBRP Inc. Performance Exhaust: Note; the SE lower valance has to be replaced with SRT/RT lower valance. The SRT/RT lower valance can be purchased at your local Dodge Dealer. Figure 5 Figure 6 1. Slide two 2 ¼” Band Clamps over the remaining factory exhaust pipes. Install the Extension Pipes using the 2 ¼” Band Clamps leaving them loose enough for some adjustment. Refer to Figure 5. 2. Slide two 2 ½” Band Clamps over the Extension Pipes and install the Resonators onto the Extension Pipes.
6. Slide a 2 ½” Band Clamp onto each Tailpipe. Attach the Mufflers to the Tail Pipes. Using the fasteners provided attach the Mufflers to the M8 Exhaust Hangers. Refer to Figures 10 & 11. Figure 10 7. Install the Exhaust Tip to the Muffler. Refer to Figure 12. Align the exhaust as required. Starting at the Muffler tighten all clamps and connections. 8. Check along the whole length of the exhaust system to ensure that there is adequate clearance around the spare tire, fuel and brake lines or any wiring.
