Diagnostic procedure
End Of Sie
6 INSPECT COIL OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
• Connect coil and PCM connectors.
• Turn ignition switch to ON position.
• Measure voltage at terminal A of coil
connector.
• Is voltage more than 9 V?
Yes Go to Step 10.
No Go to next step.
7 INSPECT COIL OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
• Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
• Disconnect PCM connector.
• Measure resistance between PCM connector
terminal 2Q and ground.
• Is resistance more than 10 kilohms?
Yes Go to Step 9.
No Go to next step.
8 INSPECT COIL OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
FOR SHORT TO GND
• Disconnect coil connector.
• Measure resistance between coil connector
terminal A and ground.
• Is resistance more than 10 kilohms?
Yes Replace coil.
(See T90 COIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
No Repair wiring harness.
9 INSPECT COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT
(OUTPUT) FOR CONTINUITY
• Disconnect coil and PCM connectors.
• Is there continuity between coil connector
terminal A and PCM terminal 2Q?
Yes Replace PCM and reprogram immobilizer system.

PROCEDURE)
No Repair wirimg harness.
10 INSPECT COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT
(OUTPUT) FOR CONTINUITY
• Disconnect coil and PCM connectors.
• Is there continuity between coil connector
terminal A and PCM terminal 2Q?
Yes Replace coil.
(See T90 COIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
No Go to next step.
11 INSPECT COIL OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR
SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Disconnect coil connector.
• Measure voltage at terminal A of coil
connector.
• Is there voltage?
Yes Repair wirimg harness.
No Replace PCM and reprogram immobilizer system.

PROCEDURE)
12 INSPECT PCM
• Turn ignition switch from LOCK position to
START position for 2 seconds.
• Does security light indicate DTC B1681
again?
Yes Replace PCM and reprogram immobilizer system.

PROCEDURE)
No Troubleshooting is completed.
STEP INSPECTION ACTION
DTC B2103 Coil not connected.
POSSIBLE
CAUSE
• Defective Coil
• Poor connection of coil connector


INSPECT CONNECTOR CONNECTION
• Is connector of coil and PCM connected
securely?
Yes Replace coil.

No Connect connector securely.
