PARTS supplied for installation: 4 washers and 2 screens for water hoses Cable tie to secure drain hose to standpipe, inlet hose or laundry tub Beaded tie to secure drain hose to cabinet (if required) Locking cam STEP 1 PREPARE WASHER 1. Remove tape on lid. Remove accessory package from tub. 2. Tip the washer backward. Loosen front leveling leg lock nuts. 3. Tip washer slightly forward. Loosen rear leveling leg lock nuts. 4. REMOVE THE TUB BLOCK. 5. Remove the inlet hoses.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced with a specially terminated cord by an authorized service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Do not connect via a cord extension set or electrical portable outlet device. HOSE CONNECTION 1. Never reuse old hose sets. Insert the rubber hose washer from accessory package into the SAE threaded end of the inlet hose. The SAE threaded end is pointed to by the flow arrow on the hoses.
SIPHON BREAK INSTALLATION If a 91 cm (36 in.) minimum standpipe is not available, or for floor drain installation and in cases where a tight connection is made between the drain hose and drain (standpipe, etc.) the 12001586 siphon break accessory is required. To install siphon break: 1. Cut the corrugated drain hose at the center of the larger straight section position B. Mounting Clamp 2. Position a hose clamp onto the cut end of the drain hose leading to the machine pump.
STEP 3 SETUP WASHER After the washer has been properly installed there are still a few steps required before the washer is ready for operation. Make the following revisions: CS MODELS (COIN SLIDE) These models are activated by coin slide in the control center. Install the coin slide (NOT provided with the product) as follows: First, remove coin slide actuator from accessory package that is found in the back of the coin vault. Two (2) screws from the package attach the actuator bracket to the coin slide.
GENERAL USER INFORMATION- PD & PN models BLANK DISPLAY – This condition indicates the appliance is inoperative. Enter set-up mode to view diagnostic code. “0 MINUTES” SHOWING IN DISPLAY – This condition indicates the appliance cannot be operated. Coins dropped during this condition will be stored in escrow but cannot be used until normal operation is restored by opening and closing the lid.
HOW TO USE THE KEY PADS TO PROGRAM THE CONTROLS 1. The LOWER LEFT key pad is used to adjust the values associated with set-up codes. Pressing the key pad will increment the value. Rapid adjustment is possible by holding the key pad down. 2. The LOWER MIDDLE key pad will advance you through the set-up codes. Pressing the key pad will advance you to the next available set-up code. Holding the key pad down will automatically advance through the set-up codes at a rate of one (1) per second. 3.

DIAGNOSTIC CODES If the set-up mode is entered and one of the following has occurred, the appropriate diagnostic code will be in the display. d1 Water level detection error on control board or due to power line interference (cycles and customer display disabled until diagnostic code is manually cleared). d3 Water temperature sense error when equipped with temperature sensing water valve (cycles will fill with unregulated default water temperatures while the error persists).
TOP LOAD WASHER HELP MODE This mode is entered by pressing the LOWER LEFT key pad while in special pricing option mode 2.XX (or while dAS displays if operating with Maytag Data Acquisition setup). In help mode, the LOWER MIDDLE keypad can be used to advance through three help codes (displayed as 1h.XX, 2h.XX and 3h.XX).
