1. Turn o power to the ice maker. Keep the ice maker connected to the water supply and drainpipe.
2. Open the door and scoop out all of the ice cubes. Either discard them or save them in an ice chest or cooler.
3. Remove the screws in the front cover, push forward to remove the front cover. Locate the control box.
Note: Do not use too much force, as the wire leads connected to the power switch can be inadvertently
disconnected. Use care in the area of the control box. Do not expose it to moisture.
4. Turn on the power to the ice maker. Pour 8 oz. of Nickel-Safe Ice Maker Cleaning Soluon into the water bin.
Add 8 oz. of tap water. Aer about 5 minutes, press down the “clean” buon on the Control Box. (See gure
below and the following secon.) The machine will run the Automac Clean Mode.
5. Allow 30 minutes for proper cleaning. Aer cleaning, shut o the power switch, and unscrew the nut of the
water-draining hole. Drain o the waste water to a container, and then screw the nut on ghtly when the
waste water is fully drained o.

6. The dirty water must be drained out completely. Repeat steps 2 and 3 in the Interior Cleaning secon.
7. Repeat steps 4 and 6 above 3 mes (without Ice Maker Cleaning Soluon) to rinse the ice making system
completely.
Note: The use of the Ice Maker Cleaner Soluon in the water bin during the rinse is not needed.
8. Reassemble the front cover.
9. Turn on the power again. The machine will return to the regular ice making mode. Discard the rst batch of ice.
WARNING
The ice machine cleaner contains acids.
DO NOT use or mix with any other solvent-based cleaner products.
Use rubber gloves to protect hands.
Carefully read the material safety instrucons on the container of the ice machine cleaner.
DISCARD the rst batch of ice produced aer cleaning.
Sanizing the Ice-Making System
1. Turn o power to the ice maker.
2. Remove all ice cubes from the storage bin.
3 . Prepare a sanizing soluon made of 1oz (29ml) of household bleach and 2 gallons (7.5L) of hot water 95ºF
(35ºC) to 115ºF (46ºC). Remove the ake covers and slideway from the water bin and wipe the enre bin
inside and out, covering the enre surface of the walls.
4. Fill a spray bole with the sanizing soluon and spray all corners and edges, making sure to cover all
surfaces with the soluon. Soak the ake cover and slideway in the soluon and put back in place aer
drying.
5. Keep the ice maker connected to the water supply. Turn on the power to the ice maker. Within 5 minutes,
press the CLEAN buon. The machine will run the Automac Clean mode.
6. Allow 30 minutes for proper cleaning. Aer cleaning, shut o the power switch, and unscrew the nut of the
water-draining hole. Drain o the waste water to some container, and then screw the nut on ghtly when the
waste water is fully drained o.
7. The dirty water must be drained out completely. Perform steps 2 and 3 in the Interior Cleaning secon.
8. Repeat steps 5 to 7 above three mes with fresh water to rinse the ice-making system completely.
9. Reassemble the front cover.

Turn on the power again. The machine will return to the regular ice making mode. Discard the rst batch of ice.
