ENGINE SPEED
Engine speed has been factory set to provide safe operaon. Tampering with the engine speed
adjustment could result in the overheang of aachments and could cause a fire.
CONNECTING LOADS
You will want to be careful when connecng loads so as to not overload the generator,
especially if you are powering devices with motors that require a higher starng power load.
Instrucons are provided below for connecng loads when you are using the generator as a
portable power source.
240V AC CONNECTION
Connect electrical loads one at a me according to the following instrucons:
1. Allow the engine to reach operang speed by allowing it to warm up for approximately
5 minutes before connecng electrical devices.
2. Check the devices to be connected are turned OFF before connecng them to the AC
outlets.
3. Aer the engine is warmed up, begin by connecng the items that require the highest
waage first.
The recommended sequence is as fo
llows:
1. Connec
t items with motors such as refrigerators, freezers, air condions or small hand
tools, one at a me.
2. Let each motor stabilise before connecng the next device.
3. Connect any lights you are planning on powering.
4. Connect voltage sensive equipment such as electronics via surge protectors. Plug
devices such as TV’s, computers and microwaves into a voltage surge protector, then
plug the surge protector into the generator.
12V DC CONNECTION
The generator is fied with a socket outlet specically f
or connecon to a lead acid baery for
charging. The output voltage is 12V with maximum output current of 8.3A. The generator will
charge lead acid baeries of various sizes from small to large.
DO NOT aempt to charge Nicad, Nickel metal hybrid, or lithium type baeries. ONLY use
provided charger cable. Read the following secon for details.
