Do not allow debris to accumulate and block airflow.
Do not operate with a tarp, blanket, or cover surrounding the
generator.
HOT EXHAUST CLEARANCE
Make sure your generator’s exhaust system is at least 2
meters from all combustible materials and buildings/
structures.
Equip the engine with a spark arrestor if the generator will be
used near any ignitable forest, brush, or grassy land. (see the
“Specifications” section of this manual to determine if your
generator is already equipped). Make sure you comply with
applicable local, state and federal codes.
Keep a fire extinguisher rated “ABC” nearby. Keep it properly
charged and be familiar with its use.
NO WET CONDITIONS
Choose a location where the generator will NOT be exposed to
rain, snow or direct sunlight. Exposure to water can cause an
electric shock. You may operate the generator under an
outdoor canopy-like structure of heat-resistant material that is
open on all sides.
