4.3.2 IDE Hard Drive Connection

Before connecting an IDE hard drive to the cabinet of ARS-2016EB, you have to set

the hard drive as “Master” or “Cable Select” mode by adjusting the jumper setting.

In addition, if the hard drive has contained data or installed with a certain version of

OS, you had better back up your data first, and install the OS again after connec-

tion. The hard drive cannot work without installing the OS again. After connection

just treat the IDE hard drive as a new one.
