The AVE CashTrack can be expanded up to 16 POS/Cash Registers utilizing the AVE RS-485
Network Adapters. The Slave Adpaters convert interface data to the AVE Network protocol while
the Master Adapters decode the data and deliver to the DVR via one RS-232 port using the AVE
VSI-ADD protocol. This protocol is open for all DVR manufacturers to implement within their DVR
to allow full compatibility with the entire AVE POS / ATM line of interfaces.
All older and current versions of the VSI or VSSI can be used for
Networking with the appropriate adapters.
The new VSI-Pro Max has full Networking capability built in and can be
configured not only as a full emulating POS / Cash Register Interface but
can be simultaneously configured as a slave and/or a master. Using the
VSI-Pro Max or the VSI-Pro & Vnetworker Adapter, full remote
programming of all setups of the interface via the front panel controls of
the DVR are possible or via the AVE PC Software. This eliminates the on-
screen programming requirement of the POS/Cash Register interface.
