Each of these filters are attached to the main chassis using a combination of a flange on the side
of the filter facing the back of the chassis and a Velcro strip on the side of the filter facing the front
of the chassis for single-screen MaxPac 8230XRA1. Dual and Triple-screen MaxPac
8230XRA2/3 require the outer flange to be removed (by using the knurled screw). Now the filter
element can be removed for cleaning.
The filters should be cleaned as mandated by local conditions (a good rule of thumb is when the
filters look physically dirty). The following discussions are based on the left-hand filter. The same
actions apply to the right-hand filter. It is more efficient to clean both filters at the same time.
2) Starting with the filter on the left-hand side of the chassis, break the filter free of the Velcro on the
side of the filter facing the front of the chassis (Figure B-3) for single-screen MaxPac 8230XRA1 .
Dual and Triple-screen MaxPac 8230XRA2/3 require the outer flange to be removed (by using
the knurled screw). Now the filter element can be removed for cleaning.

3) Unscrew the knurled knob holding the left-hand filter assembly as shown in Figure B-4 (this may
require the use of a Phillips #2 screwdriver).
4) Open the assembly as illustrated in Figure B-5.
