S5 Operating Instructions About Your S5 Radio Maxon's S5 radio features up to 8/16 channels. Operation and functions of these radios are outlined in this manual. We urge you to thoroughly read this manual before operating the radio The application of some of the functions described in this manual is determined by the system you use. Your Maxon Dealer will program your radio so that you have the greatest number of functions possible relative to your needs.

S5 Installing and Removing the Battery Pack To Install: Position the guides of the battery in line with the radio battery guide rails and slide the battery into position until a click is heard. To Remove: Holding the radio in one hand, push and hold the battery latch button located in the upper central part of the battery pack, held as if looking at the back of the unit. Hold the radio firmly and slide the battery in a downward direction whilst pushing the battery latch button.
S5 Attaching and Removing the Belt Clip To Install: Install belt clip onto the belt clip holder located on the upper part of the battery, held whilst looking at the back of the unit. Locate the slot on the battery and push belt clip downward until a click is heard. To Remove: Push and hold the release button located at the top of the belt clip and slide the clip off the belt clip holder.
S5 Battery Charging and Care To ensure peak performance from your radio, the battery pack must be fully charged. Proper care and charging will allow maximum performance and life of your battery pack. CH-SL1000-02 Desktop Charger provides 2 hours charging to one radio and one battery. Before using your S5 for the first time a full two hour charge will be required for the best performance.
S5 Status Indicators and Audible Alert Tones Your S5 has a sophisticated microprocessor control which provides a series of audible alert tones. Upon initial power up, a quick melody indicates that the self-test of the microprocessor functions has been completed satisfactorily.
S5 Operation Mode This section provides general descriptions of the operating modes of the S5 Radio. Power off Mode The S5 shall enter Off mode when the On/Off Volume knob is rotated to the most counterclockwise position, beyond the detent. Upon entering off mode, the radio shall store its current channel (if Power On Channel function is enabled via PC Programmer). Power on Mode The S5 shall enter Power-On mode when the On/Off Volume knob is rotated clockwise beyond the detent.
S5 Scanning Scanning is a Dealer programmable feature that allows you to monitor a number of channels. Your Dealer will help you define a scanning mode and your channel "scan list". Normal Channel Scan Once the scan list has been established, initiate scanning by pressing the scan key or holding the monitor button and rotate the channel switch to scan the enabled channels. Then the Green LED flashes to confirm the scanning.
S5 Service Information Service Do not tamper with internal adjustments as this may cause damage to the equipment and will invalidate the warranty. There are no user serviceable items inside the radio. It is recommended that you return your radio to a qualified Maxon dealer for any service or repairs. Recycling/Disposal of Batteries The battery should be recycled at the end of it's useful life.
S5 CH-SL1000-02 Desktop Charger Product description The CH-SL1000-02 is the standard charger for Maxon's S5 two-way radio batteries. The charger has been designed to fully charge only the Li-ion, 1500mAh battery, the front charging slot charges a battery while connected to the radio, the back charging slot charges a battery that has been removed from the radio. For use only with power supply manufacturer: MaxonCIC Model: S5 Use only power supplies listed in the user-instructions.

S5 Einsetzen und Entnahme des Akkus Einsetzen des Akkus: Richten Sie die Führungen am Akku mit den Akku-Führungsschienen des Funkgeräts aus und schieben Sie den Akku in die richtige Position, bis er mit einem hörbaren Klicken einrastet. Entnahme des Akkus: Während Sie das Funkgerät in der Hand halten, drücken Sie die Akku-Verriegelungstaste oben in der Mitte des Akkus (während Sie auf die Rückseite des Geräts blicken).
S5 Anbringen und Abnehmen des Gürtelclips Anbringen des Gürtelclips: Befestigen Sie den Gürtelclip am Gürtelclip-Halter oben am Akku (während Sie auf die Rückseite des Geräts blicken). Schieben Sie den Gürtelclip auf die vorgesehene Aussparung am Akku, bis er hörbar einrastet. Abnehmen des Gürtelclips: Drücken Sie die Freigabetaste oben am Gürtelclip und schieben Sie den Gürtelclip aus der Halterung heraus.
S5 Laden und Pflege der Akkus Um eine maximale Leistung des Funkgeräts sicherzustellen, muss der Akku vollständig aufgeladen sein. Durch die richtige Pflege und ein korrektes Aufladen werden die optimale Leistung und Nutzungsdauer des Akkus sichergestellt. Mit dem CH-SL1000-02-Tischladegerät wird der Akku in ungefähr zwei Stunden vollständig aufgeladen. Um die bestmögliche Leistung sicherzustellen, ist vor der ersten Verwendung des S5 eine zweistündige vollständige Aufladung erforderlich.
S5 Statusanzeiger und akustische Warntöne Der S5 verfügt über eine fortgeschrittene Mikroprozessorsteuerung, die eine Reihe akustischer Warntöne bereitstellt. Nach dem ersten Einschalten gibt eine kurze Melodie an, dass der Selbsttest der Mikroprozessorfunktionen zufriedenstellend abgeschlossen wurde.

Normaler Kanalsuchlauf Nachdem die Suchlaufliste festgelegt wurde, drücken Sie die Taste für den Suchlauf (Option-Taste) oder halten Sie die Monitor-Taste gedrückt und drehen Sie den Kanalwahl-Schalter, um die aktivierten Kanäle abzusuchen.
S5 Kundendiensthinweise Kundendienst Nehmen Sie am Gerät keine internen Einstellungen vor, da dies Beschädigungen verursachen kann und dazu führt, dass die Garantie ungültig wird. Im Inneren des Funkgeräts befinden sich keine Teile, die vom Benutzer gewartet werden können. Es empfiehlt sich, das Funkgerät zur Durchführung von Kundendienst- oder Wartungsarbeiten einem qualifizierten Maxon-Fachhändler zu übergeben. Recycling/Entsorgung von Akkus Der Akku muss am Ende seiner Nutzungsdauer recycelt werden.
S5 Tischladegerät CH-SL1000-02 Produktbeschreibung Das CH-SL1000-02 ist das Standardladegerät für die Akkus des S5-Funkgeräts von Maxon. Das Ladegerät ist nur für die vollständige Aufladung des 1500m-Ah-Lithium-Ionen-Akkus bestimmt. Auf dem vorderen Ladeplatz kann ein an das Funkgerät angeschlossener Akku aufgeladen werden, während auf dem hinteren Ladeplatz ein aus dem Funkgerät genommener Akku aufgeladen werden kann.
S5 Bedienungsanleitung Nehmen Sie die Ladestation und den Wechselstrom-Adapter aus der Verpackung. Stecken Sie das Wechselstrom-Adapterkabel in die Adapterbuchse auf der Rückseite des Ladegeräts. Stecken Sie den Wechselstrom-Adapter in eine Netzsteckdose. Ihr Ladegerät ist jetzt einsatzbereit. Der Ladevorgang beginnt automatisch, wenn das Funkgerät/der Akku in die Ladeschale gesetzt wird. S5 Instalación y extracción de la batería Para instalarla: Alinee las guías de la batería con los raíles de guía de la batería y deslice la batería hacia el interior hasta que oiga un "clic". Para extraerla: Sujete la radio con una mano, mantenga pulsado el botón de bloqueo de la batería situado en la parte superior central de la batería, sujetándola mientras mira la parte posterior de la unidad. Sujete la radio firmemente y deslice la batería hacia abajo mientras pulsa el botón de bloqueo de la batería.
S5 Montaje y desmontaje del clip para cinturón Para instalarlo: Instale el clip para cinturón en el soporte de clip para cinturón situado en la parte superior de la batería, sujetándola mientras observa la parte posterior de la unidad. Localice la ranura que presenta la batería y empuje el clip para cinturón hacia abajo hasta que oiga un "clic".

Antes de utilizar la S5 por primera vez, será necesario realizar una carga completa de dos horas para lograr el máximo rendimiento.
S5 Indicadores de estado y tonos de alerta sonoros La radio S5 dispone de un sofisticado control de microprocesador que proporciona una serie de tonos de alerta sonoros. Durante el encendido inicial, una melodía rápida indicará que la autocomprobación de las funciones del microprocesador ha finalizado correctamente.
S5 Modo operativo En esta sección se ofrece la descripción general de los modos operativos de la radio S5. Modo apagado La radio S5 entrará en modo de apagado al girar completamente el control circular de Activación/desactivación y volumen en sentido contrario al de las agujas del reloj más allá del retén. Al entrar en modo de apagado, la radio almacenará el canal actual (si se ha activado la función de canal de encendido a través de programador de PC).

User Manual S5 Pour installer : Aligner les guides de la batterie sur les rails de la radio et faire glisser la batterie jusqu'à ce que le clic sonore se fasse entendre. Pour retirer : Tenir la radio d'une main et enfoncer le taquet en haut au centre de la batterie, en regardant la batterie de dos. Tenir fermement la radio et faire glisser la batterie vers le cas, tout en enfonçant son taquet.

Rimozione: Con la radio in una mano, tenere premuto il fermo situato al centro della parte superiore della batteria, guardando il retro dell'unità. Tenere stretta la radio e fare scorrere la batteria verso il basso premendo nel contempo il fermo.

Сканирование по каналам Для начала сканирования нажмите и удержите кнопки 7 и 6 и поверните ручку переключателя каналов 2 (см рисунок на странице 6) после этого индикатор загорится зеленым, что укажет на начало сканирования. Если при сканировании S5 обнаружит сигнал, то сканирование остановится на этом канале, и вы можете его прослушать.
