CUTTING OFF LOWER PORTION OF COLUMN
The lower portion of the column can be cut off 18”
(maximum) above the ground 18” (FIG. 16-1) to improve
the entry and exit angle of the vehicle.
NOTE: Vehicles with air ride suspension must have
air bags fully infl ated before columns are cut
18” from ground.
