Scan Modes
Your SM5402 Radio may be programmed for one or more scan modes depending upon
your Dealer programming.
LTR

Manual Group Scan
To enable LTR

manual Group scan, enter normal scan by a press and release of the scan button
on the radios front panel. The scan icon will show in the display. In this scan mode the radio will
scan all LTR

receive Group IDs. Upon receiving the correct ID the radio will allow transmission
on that Group ID until scanning resumes.
LTR

Auto Group Scan
Operation is the same as for LTR

Manual Group Scan with the exception you do not need to
press the scan button. This function is pre-programmed by your Dealer.
