3. Installation
Read these instructions carefully before connecting the receiver.
YournewDigitalReceiverhasbeendesignedtobeuser-friendlyandeasytouse.Thereceivercan
receivedigitalchannelsviacable.Furthermore,thereceiverhastheabilitytodecodeConaxencoded
channels with the help of a smart card.
Adigitalsoundoutputontherearofthereceivergivesthepossibilityofrealcinemasound,ifyouhave
asurroundamplier.
Oneofthegoalsinthedevelopmentofthisreceiver,hasbeentomakeaneasytousemenustructure,
enabling user-satisfaction. Under the development, we have paid particular attention to the software in
thereceiver,especiallythestability,sothatthereislessneedforupdatesofthesoftware.Eventhough
particular attention has been paid to the software, there is no guarantee that an update will not be
necessary,e.g.ifthereisanychangetothewayinwhichtheprogramsaresent.
Itisimportanttoensurethatyouhavethemostrecentsoftwareinyourreceiver;thiswillgiveyouthe
best possible performance from the receiver. The software can be downloaded from the homepage

Safety!
Toprotectyouandyourreceiverfromhazardsanddanger,protectthereceiverfrom:
• Fluids, of all forms.
• Cold, heat and extreme temperature changes.
• Dust
•Lackofventilation,especiallyiftheventilationholesbecomecovered.
• Crushing.
Ifyoutakethereceiverfromacoldenvironmenttoawarmone,pleasebecarefulwiththecondensa-
tionbuildupinthereceiver.Tostopanyhazardhere,pleaseallowthereceivertostandwithoutpower
connected for at least one hour.
Lightning can damage the receiver. Therefore remember to remove the signal cable from the
receiver, if there is a risk of lightning.
Donotallowforeignobjects(metalobjects,paperclips,uids,candlewax,andotheritems)toenter
the receiver cabinet, through the ventilation holes and the card reader. This can short circuit the
receiverandcausearehazard.Ifanythingdoesenterthecabinet,removethecablefromthemains
immediatelyandcontactyourdealer.
Pleasepayparticularattentiontothemainscable,sothatitcannotbedamagedinanyway.Thecable
mustnotbesubjectedtosharpedges,knots,orheavyfurniture.Damagetothemainscablecan
causearehazardorelectricalshock.
The mains power cable must not be pulled on. To remove the power, please hold the plug and do not
pull on the cable. Pulling on the cable can damage it.

siveforce,installationofanysoftwarenot ofcially released(patchorcopysoftware)is not covered
under the terms of the guarantee.
