7.4 Depth Bar Stake
1 The Depth Bar Stake be raised or lowered, to allow you more versatile tilling and
cultivating or to transport your tiller using the power of the Hydraulics more easily.
3. Loosen Depth Bar tightener, pull the Depth Bar up for increased tilling depth. Place the
Depth Bar to the desired height position and retighten tightener handle to lock into
position.
4. Place tine control rod in desired position/rotation. Slowly lower tines into the ground.
Twist handlebar forward to desired speed
5. Move throttle control to “FAST” position for deep tilling. To cultivate, throttle control can
be set at any desired speed, depending on how fast or slow you wish to cultivate.
7.5 Turning sharply
1. Disengage the Tine Control Rod
2. Move throttle control to Slow position
3. Lift handle to raise tines out of ground.
4. Swing the handle in the opposite direction you wish to turn, being careful to keep feet
and legs away from tines. Slowly twist handlebar to desired direction.
5. When you have completed your turn-around, with handle up and tines out of ground,
again engage tines in desired direction. Slowly lower handle to start tilling. Slowly twist
handlebar forward to desired speed.

CAUTION
Until you are accustomed to handling your tiller, start actual field use with throttle in slow position (midway
between “FAST” and “IDLE”).

Depth Bar Tightener Handle
