7 OPERATION
7.1 Drive operation
1. With hands on handlebar, gripping the micro safety switch tabs, unit can be operated in
forward/reverse along with tine operation.
2. Twist handlebar control forward for Forward drive, twist control backward for Reverse
drive. Center control for Neutral operation.
7.2 Tine operation
Tine movement is achieved by pulling tine control rod back for counter rotating tilling or push
forward for forward rotation tilling. To lock in either position, move control rod towards the
center.
7.3 Safe operation while tilling
1. Engage Tine direction for Forward rotation or Reverse rotation and twist handlebar
forward to begin tilling.
2. With Tine direction in neutral, Twist handlebar towards the operator, to reverse
movement of tiller.
Note: Engine will shut off, if tines are engaged and handle is twisted to move the tiller
in reverse.
