Bit 4 Enables HiZ TXAN/TXAP while looking for CID (only for 2901; no effect for 2909).
Bit 5 Enables RxGain (20 dB) while looking for CID (only for 2901; no eff ect for 2909).
Bit 6 Enables using USER10 output to signal DAA to activate on-hook LI U-V sensing.
Bit 7 Enables “long space disconnect” o ption. When enabled, the 73M2901CE sends 3.5 seconds of
space bits (zeros) before disconnecting after receiving an on-hook command from the DTE. When
enabled the 73M2901CE di sconnects and goes on-hook upon receiving NULL characters from the
remote modem for 1.5 seconds.

4.4.109 S111 – Line-In-Use Settle Time
(Default = 20)
Sets the settling time to wait, after the LIU sensing circuit is enabled, before sampling LIU signal. This is
used for both on-hook(Voltage sensing LIU) and off-hook(PPU) detection. Rang e is 0 – 254 (X10ms
units).
4.4.110 S112 – Line-In-Use Energy Detection Wait
(Default = 20)
Sets the qualify time that Energy must remain below threshold. Ra nge is 0 – 254 (X100ms units).
4.4.111 S113 – Line-In-Use Energy Detection Threshold
(Default = 15)
Sets the Threshold for the voice Energy. Lower num ber means Stronger signal strength. The value of 0
would effectively never detect and higher than 95 would always detect. This register i s also u s ed by (J7)
test mode as a minimum carrier detect threshold. Range is 0 – 95.
4.4.112 S114(Hi)-S115(Lo) – Maximum Carrier Detect Threshold (J7)
(Defaults: HI = 0, LOW = 50h)
Sets the maximum carrier detect threshold used by (J7) test mode . Higher value may indicate open circuit
in either TXAP or TXAN signals to RXA.
