Charging a Battery via the iDL300
The iDL300 was designed to allow the user to charge a battery while it is inserted into the iDL300, allowing continued use of the iDL300 while the
battery is charging. This can be done by simply connecting the supplied 12V 2A universal AC power adaptor to the iDL300, and connecting the
adaptor to an AC mains power supply.
It is important to ensure that the correct supplied 12V 2A universal AC Power Adaptor is used. Using the incorrect
power adaptor can cause serious damage to the iDL300.
First, the AC power cable must be connected into the three-prong connector on the 12V 2A universal AC power adaptor, the power cable‟s plug then
connected to an AC mains power source and the power source switched on. Now connect the supplied functional 12V 2A universal AC power
adaptor into the iDL300 by plugging the DC Jack into the designated connecter at the right side of the iDL300 as per the picture below.
The LED to the right of the Fingerprint Reader on the front of the iDL300 will light up and turn RED to indicate power is present and that the batteries
are being charged.
The charging status will be indicated on the iDL300 display via the “Power icon” displayed in the system tray (right bottom corner of the LCD)
while the iDL300 is powered on.
Charging the battery via the iDL300 will take up to three (3) hours.
For convenience, the iDL300 can operate as normal when connected to an AC power supply without a battery being
inserted into the iDL300 itself.
While charging, the Charging LED will be turned on displaying charging status irrespective of whether the iDL300
device is turned on or off.
The life expectancy of the battery: Given normal storage & usage, user can expect the battery to deliver 80% or more
of it's initial capacity after 300 charge/discharge cycles
Monitor and Manage your Battery Status
