BEFORE FIRST USE
 Wash the Hot Dog Basket, Tongs, and Crumb Tray and clean the Hot
Dog Toaster before using for the first time. (See “CLEANING &
MAINTENANCE SECTION” for instructions)
 DO NOT IMMERSE THE TOASTER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
 Ensure that the unit is unplugged from the electrical outlet and that the
parts are completely cool, before cleaning.
 When using your unit for the first time, you may notice some smoke and
odor. This is caused by the unit burning off the protective coating
applied during the manufacturing process. It is normal and harmless and
will go away with subsequent use. If the odor and smoke persist,
discontinue use of the product immediately and contact customer
service.
