8. Whenever possible, point the nose of your Grasshopper into the wind for takeoff. As you advance the
throttle, keep the nose pointed straight ahead as your Grasshopper picks up speed. Then, after the tail has
lifted off and when you feel confident your Grasshopper has achieved adequate flying speed, give only a
slight amount of UP elevator to gently climb to a safe altitude before attempting any other manuevers.
