ENGLISH PREPARATION (Continued) Antenna Connection NTSC & ATSC (DTV) input connection DTV (ATSC) and traditional NTSC broadcasts are distinctly different and requires two separate connections. There are two types of connectors: one for DTV (ATSC) and one for traditional TV (Analog NTSC). If you are currently subscribing to regular TV from your local cable TV provider or via an antenna, use the Analog (NTSC) connector to receive regular TV broadcasts.

Playing Media To start playback press .. To interrupt playback, press again. NOTE Some discs start playing automatically, and others display a menu on the TV screen. Use the arrow buttons to select a chapter or track, or press the number keys (0~9) to go to the desired chapter or track.

The unit’s digital audio output will only output 2-channels even if it is encoded with multichannel Dolby Digital tracks. 2. Bitstream: Select Bitstream when connecting to an external amplifier capable of decoding Dolby Digital multi-channel audio. 3. OFF: Select OFF if you don’t need SPDIF Out.

ENGLISH ADJUSTMENT (Continued) Adjusting CLOSED CAPTION Settings SETTING CLOSED CAPTION "Closed Caption" is a system which allows conversations, narration, and sound effects in TV programs and home videos to be viewed as captions on the TV screen. Not all programs and videos will offer closed captioning. Please look for the "CC" symbol to ensure that captions are available. Closed Caption broadcasts can be viewed in two modes: CAPTION and TEXT. For each mode, four selections are available.
