3590E “K” Cartridges Maxell’s 3590E enterprise computer tape provides capacities of 60GB /
120GB / 180GB (3:1 compression) and is designed to meet and exceed industry
standards.
Maxell 3590E tapes are manufactured with Maxell’s patented Ceramic Armor
coated tape metal particles for long data life protection. The coating protects
the metal particles from heat and corrosion, as well as providing high coercivity
and superior remanence for long term magnetic stability.
The proprietary tape back coating, with anti-static and superior surface sealing
properties, is specically optimized for the transportation mechanism of IBM 3590
drives – protecting against tape surface damage, scratches and drop-outs.
Maxell’s proprietary cross linking binder system provides superior tape strength.
And, Maxell’s proprietary tape leader block was developed to insure excellent
tape packing and tape edge integrity for longer data life.
The Maxell 3590E cartridge is built to exceed load / unloading industry
standards and the shell top and bottom are securely fastened with screws for a
stronger, more secure cartridge.
