File Menu Item – Save As
This option allows you to save the SEL data to a le, with the .sel” le name extension, either in
interpreted text format or in raw hex format, depending on the mode in which records are currently
displayed.
The interpreted text format les contain the SEL properties in the rst lines followed by a blank line
and the column headings. The SEL le format is specied as an ASCII-readable le, with each eld
delimited to a TAB and each system event ending with a carriage return/line feed. The columns might
not line up to allow for this le to be opened by programs such as Microsoft
®
Excel.
The raw hex format les also contain the SEL properties in the rst lines followed by a blank line.
These les contain the SEL records in raw hexadecimal format, as read from the server. This SEL
le format is specied as an ASCII-readable le, with each system event ending with a carriage
return/line feed.
This option also provides you with the ability to select drives and directories by browsing, as shown in
Figure 25. If the SEL data cannot be saved or the le cannot be created or overwritten, the program
displays error messages accordingly.
File Menu Item – Exit
This option allows you to exit the utility.
Pull-Down Menu – SEL
The SEL pull-down menu includes options for reloading SEL entries from the server, clearing the SEL
entries, viewing SEL properties, and sorting the entries by different column elds. These options are
further described in the sections below.
