Aside from the Common Menu Items, the following menu items are available: 
Menu Item  Description 
Show  Selecting this button will always return you back to the Date and Time page, as shown in Figure 
2- 61. The current date and time information will always be displayed here, along with the NTP 
configuration. 
Edit  Selecting this button will enter the Date and Time Edit page, as shown in Figure 2- 62. The edit 
fields on this page are described below the figure.

The following fields can be edited on the Date and Time Edit page: 
Edit Field  Description 
<Date and Time> 
Fields 
Enter the current date and time, applicable to your time zone. 
Time Zone  Select the time zone applicable to this installation. 
NTP  This field allows you to enable or disable the Network Time Protocol (NTP). When NTP is 
enabled, you cannot set the date and time, because the receiver will obtain this from the NTP 
server on the network. If NTP is being served over the Satellite, a Net PID, containing the NTP 
data must be assigned to the receiver. NTP can also be served to the receiver through the 
Ethernet interfaces, in which case a Net PID assignment is not required. 
Packet Routing  This field allows you to select whether or not the NTP packets will be forwarded out one or more 
of the Ethernet ports. This is useful if all nodes on the LAN are to be synchronized to the same 
clock. 
Ethernet Configuration 
This submenu allows you to set the speed and duplex configuration of all Ethernet ports installed in the receiver. This 
is particularly useful for interfacing with certain Ethernet switches where auto-negotiation is not desired. It is
