The following fields can be edited on the Edit Default Firewall Rule page:
Edit Field Description
Input Chain
Rule Status
This drop down box selects the default action that will be taken on an IP packet processed at
the Input Chain, if there was no rule match in the Firewall Table (INPUT rules). The following
selections are available:
Accept – accept packet and continue processing.
Drop – throw away the packet.
Output Chain
Rule Status
This drop down box selects the default action that will be taken on an IP packet processed at
the Output Chain, if there was no rule match in the Firewall Table (Output rules). The following
selections are available:
Accept – accept packet and continue processing and output.
Drop – throw away the packet.
