The display fields and columns in the Other PID List (Figure 2- 16) have a similar meaning to the Net PID List fields
and columns, except these are PIDs with no specific port assignment. Additional columns are added when the ASI
Output option is installed, for example and to allow routing as MPEG over IP (see below). See Appendix F for more
information on the ASI Option.
Figure 2- 17 MPEG over IP PID List Page
The display fields and columns in the MPEG over IP PID List have a similar meaning to the Net PID List fields and
columns, with the following exceptions:
Column/Field Description
MPEG TS Port(s)
enabled
This is a check box, which is used to enable or disable all MPEG over IP PIDs from being
demultiplexed by the receiver.
PID Mode radio
button
This radio button enables the decoding of the PIDs in list shown, from the DVB TS and their
consequent output to the corresponding IP Address and UDP Port shown.
Transport Stream
Mode radio button
This radio button selects the decoding of all the PIDs in the DVB Transport Stream (regardless
of the content of the List), and their consequent output to the multicast IP Address and UDP
Port shown. (If the multicast rules allow).
IP / Port This is the multicast address/port combination for the DVB TS only. Individual PIDs use the
address specified during the PID definition.
Route to MPEG over
IP
This check box enables/disables the output of the individual PIDs using the MPEG over IP
feature.
NOTE:
MPEG over IP
PIDs have no
inherent routing
and must be
routed to their
desired output
interface by a
Multicast Rule.
Typically one
rule will be
required for
each IP
address used.
